Account Deletion

This page explains how users of the Swipelijk website, Android app, and iOS app can delete their account and associated learning data.
1. How to delete your account
- Android or iOS app: open Profile > Delete Account and confirm your email address.
- Website: sign in at /profile and use the delete-account section.
- If you cannot access your account: email privacy@swipelijk.com from the email address tied to your account and request deletion.
2. What deletion removes
When your Swipelijk account is deleted, we aim to remove or anonymize the account data that is reasonably linked to that account, including your profile, learning progress, lesson completions, review queue, badges, daily activity, and other core in-app progress data stored by us.
3. What deletion does not automatically cancel
- Google Play subscriptions: cancel separately in Google Play before or after deleting your account.
- App Store subscriptions: cancel separately in your Apple subscription settings.
- Web billing arrangements: if you purchased directly on the website and need billing help, contact billing@swipelijk.com.
4. Retention exceptions
We may keep limited information where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or financial record-keeping obligations.
